Read Time:5 Minute, 13 Second

THE MASTER KEY MASTERMIND ALLIANCE can take you far – as far as your imagination is able – and most likely farther than you can imagine! Imagine that, Molly, Moe, or Mable! Speaking of which, when it comes to mastermind partners to have at your table, Stephen Serna is my Clark Gable, and Fawn Christianson my Betty Grable!

Excellent question! Hold that thought for a moment. I need to stop and check my word count. For anyone unfamiliar, MS Word for Windows, which is a program included in MS office, counts the number of words for you. You can see this running total in the bottom left corner of your monitor screen. If you are once again asking yourself “why?” I want you to know there is no absolute rule; however, it is generally agreed that between 300-500 words is the ideal length to gain reader attention, interest, and retention (or is it 500-700 words? I need to check on that.)

At any rate, the word count up to the beginning of the last paragraph is 534. That simply means I must end here – and rejoin my story in Week 10. However, you will not need to wait a week, as you will soon see.

Well, it did take me longer than I thought,

As into the whirlwind of the holidays I was caught!

While there is something to be said for the 3-5 or 5-7, which ever it might be;

Quantity to meet a quota is fine, however, quality is the first priority!

Say there are 5 or 10 student bloggers just as far behind – more or less – as me.

If I can influence in some non-influential way, there’s a better course to see!

Let us say for now they all want to catch up quick and easy.

I could show them the quickest and easiest of them all – though always downright cheesy!

It’s called the “one-liner” should anyone ask,

And it reminds me of “the loaner” if you’ve ever seen THE MASK.

There is the tangible requirement each student needs to satisfy,

And MKMMA is so flexible, the one-loaner, I mean one-liner can get us by!

However, as you already know, “getting by” just don’t cut it, and I’ll tell you why.

A blogger can clog along and dog it and halfheartedly apply,

Yet a Rover – and most readers – won’t applaud it, unless you’re shooting for the sky!

A Rover is a guide, and must follow the same primary directive –

If “The best influence is no influence,” can a Rover be effective?

Most MKE students who are publishing posts when due,

Require just a gentle nudge, and words of encouragement need be just a few.

The Rover’s role was never meant to ever show the way,

So simple it would be to do nothing, for they would be okay.

Now can you think of a way I can use what you’ve already read,

To extrapolate this MIU’s mission from the words that I said?

To read and comment on students published posts is, of course, required;

And, as already noted, in the alliances much the same desired.

There are two approaches I have found to fulfill this noble quest,

And I leave it to you to decide which of the two is best.

By and far, the vast majority that carry out this guide’s given job,

Come with words of encouragement for anyone found lacking in each alliance mob.

I have done that many times, and always feel fulfilled,

Though the audience is small, I am a happy bird who got the chance and trilled!

And yes there is a second way that so seldom I have seen,

I think belongs on The Road Less Traveled; so, let me tell you what I mean.

To create a single comment scripted with the Blog Rovers role in mind;

For each and every alliance group with universal appeal designed.

For instance, in the blog roll realm, there is something I call the “3 gutter ball” warning shout.

Anyone who does not publish a post three weeks running, miss a fourth week, and they’re out.

They’re out in the sense their name is taken off the blogroll!

And though it’s the goner himself who really notices, it’s still quite a toll!

It means you are out of harmony with the rest of the MKMMA crowd,

And though in their ears mostly, it’s a moan and rather loud!

Since a rotten tooth when extracted can “pumpkinize” any grill,

A root canal — although more costly — eliminates this possibility, and we gladly pay the bill!

Turns out the 3 gutter is brand-new Rover doctrine that very few have seen;

Until my MIU comment that is, do you now know what I mean?

Once again. MAHALO!

And so as we near another brand new year,

it seems quite the trend it’s Pentatonix that we hear!

And as one of the last things we might see,

I suggest Afremov it might be!
